We Make Service Robotics Safe to Scale
The goal of SafeRobots.EU: Ensuring IT safety, in line with European IT Security and data privacy legislation and matching fleet owners compliance needs by running clouds of service robotic manufacturer in custody, auditing manufacturer firmwares, and developing future standards.
On this page, we outline the objectives of the consortium and our roadmap towards creating a secure environment for service robotics—benefiting all stakeholders: manufacturers, importers, distributors, and end users.

Who We Are
SafeRobots.EU – The European Consortium For Safe Service Robotics is a pan-European initiative bringing together manufacturers, importers, distributors, and software providers in the field of service and cleaning robotics.
Its core objective is to ensure that the growing deployment of robotic systems across Europe aligns with European standards for data protection, security, and digital sovereignty. As a significant share of service robotics hardware originates from non-European manufacturing ecosystems, the operation of these systems increasingly generates sensitive building, movement, and usage data within European environments.
Our Work
SafeRobots.EU addresses this challenge by developing practical, industry-driven approaches to ensure that such data remains within the European legal and regulatory framework without limiting the scalability and economic potential of automation technologies.
At the same time, the consortium highlights a critical gap in current regulatory discourse: while policy discussions strongly focus on software and artificial intelligence, the data flows of physical, connected systems such as service robotics remain insufficiently addressed.
By creating a secure, interoperable, and compliant infrastructure layer, SafeRobots.EU aims to enable the responsible and large-scale adoption of service robotics in Europe—combining technological progress with data sovereignty.
